In Talking It Over: Understanding Sexual Diversity Kay Mehl Miller tells a compelling story of learning to overcome preconceived notions about homosexuality after her son Steve tells her he is gay. Her story includes acceptance, love, AIDS, and activism. Kay alternates story chapters with published columns on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. Those who feel hurt, confused and isolated when a relative or friend comes out to them will especially identify with Kay's writings. Some proceeds support PFLAG.
