About Us
Mission Statement
PFLAG/NBC seeks to promote the health and well being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and questioning persons, their families and friends through: support, education and advocacy. Our goals are to end discrimination and to secure equal civil and human rights.
Our Structure
Since its founding by Beverlee Laird in the late 1990's as a single meeting in Santa Rosa, PFLAG-NBC has grown into an association encompassing four North Bay counties, Sonoma, Marin, Mendocino, and Napa. Although the territory is large and demographic and geographic differences make additional work, board members decided not to break the organization into separate counties. The strength, support, and diversity of ideas each county lends to the whole were deemed too important.
